About The Position

The Community Grounds Landscaper at Berkeley Hall Club is responsible for maintaining the community grounds to the highest standards. This role involves various tasks including working in inclement weather, heavy lifting, and performing landscaping duties such as flower planting, sod laying, and irrigation maintenance. The position requires daily checks of high-priority areas for cleanliness and upkeep, as well as the operation of various landscaping equipment. The landscaper must ensure that all job sites are left in a safe and clean condition, providing high-quality service at all times.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent desired.
• Previous landscape experience highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in inclement weather and perform heavy lifting over 50 lbs.
• Conduct home trash pickup and flower planting.
• Lay sod, fertilize, and apply chemicals as needed.
• Plant trees and shrubs, and perform landscape construction.
• Maintain irrigation systems and conduct storm cleanup.
• Clean the shop and maintain equipment.
• Document work and clean streets and ponds.
• Decorate for holidays and work from heights.
• Check high-priority areas daily for debris and weeds.
• Fully fuel all equipment at the end of each workday.
• Check equipment for safety and maintenance before use.
• Mow using various types of mowers including zero-turn and push mowers.
• Use string trimmers, edges, blowers, and chainsaws.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals properly.
• Complete work in a timely and fine-tuned manner.
• Leave job sites in a normal, safe, and clean status.
• Assist on projects as deemed necessary by management.
