About The Position

The LEAD Program Supervisor role is part of the Community Justice Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) team that supports ETS’ mission through helping law enforcement divert individuals engaged in low-level drug, property, and sex work related offenses from the criminal justice system to case management services. These clients will be provided social services that are hoped to help cut down on their legal recidivism. This role is stewarding our program expansion in your designated area. This role makes a critical difference at ETS by taking responsibility for day-to-day supervision of LEAD case managers and Screening and Outreach Coordinators through regularly scheduled individual meetings and clinical supervision. The position is full-time onsite, and the days and hours are M-F 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Supervisors have the option (not mandatory) of signing up to be the supervisor on call one week or weekend per month as part of their role.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in related field required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Two years supervisory experience and understanding of addiction and harm reduction practices
  • Have an understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/ written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently.
  • Dependable, able to work under pressure, receptive to change, willingness to learn, cooperative approach to problem solving.
  • Flexible team player, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling highly sensitive information.
  • Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues.
  • Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent suites such as Google Workspace), as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological changes. Skills needed include basic functions such as utilizing MS Outlook email and calendaring programs (or equivalent) and sending attachments, using MS Teams or equivalent chat, call, and videoconference features, and navigating search engines such as Edge or Google and carrying out browser searches and website benchmarking steps.

Responsibilities

  • Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.
  • Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.
  • Supervise LEAD Case Managers to ensure that supervisees are: Engaging clients through outreach, trusting relationships and individually tailored case management services.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop an individualized service plan and helping clients achieve identified goals.
  • Advocating for clients to gain access to a wide variety of community resources.
  • Identifying gaps and barriers in available community resources and advocating for systemic changes.
  • Attending LEAD and REACH Team meetings and other required meetings.
  • Developing and maintaining client files for assigned caseload according to agency and contract requirements.
  • Tracking all purchasing activities accurately and timely.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of supervisees in accordance with agency policies.
  • Approve leave requests submitted by supervisees to ensure adequate leave and coverage.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between supervisees and other staff or partners.
  • Keep the LEAD Program Manager informed of the material needs of LEAD staff.
  • Represent the LEAD program to community stakeholders using effective communication and strategic partnerships to best leverage the LEAD program’s strengths and contribute to the success of the program.
