About The Position

We're looking for a Community Inspector who can manage their own time and be trusted to communicate professionally with Homeowners, Boards, and Property Managers throughout the Atlanta area. Community Inspectors are responsible for traveling to multiple communities in the greater Atlanta area and inspecting homes for Covenant violations. Violations are defined by each individual communities' Covenants, which the Inspector will need to read and understand with help from that community's Manager and Board. Because frequent communication between the Inspector, Manager, and Board is imperative to a successful inspection, an Inspector must be able to present themselves in a neat, professional manner through email, phone, and in person. Inspectors will have a list of communities they must inspect but will be largely responsible for scheduling themselves to ensure inspections are done on time and accurately. Candidates must have excellent self-organizational and time management skills. Candidates must have a valid Driver's License, valid insurance, and a personal vehicle to be used for transportation. Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license including a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to walk properties in order to note violations.
  • Must provide own transportation to and from properties as well as while inspecting.
  • Must have valid insurance on any transportation being used for inspections.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.  Must be able to generate basic Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. Presents ideas in a clear, concise, understandable, and organized manner. As well as can professionally interact with our clients via phone, email or in person.
  • Ability to relate well with others even while working at a distance without the benefit of personal contact. Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Must be professional at setting priorities and coping with competing demands.
  • Excellent time-management and general organization skills.
  • Neat, professional appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude about the company with homeowners, coworkers and the public whether contact is by telephone, e-mail or in person. Constantly strives for improvements in work processes and results to better meet client's expectations.
  • Inspect a large number of properties and report back to assigned Community Association Manager and Homeowner Solutions Center Representative in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a self-driven schedule with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail in work product.  Displays strong work ethic in managing time and efficiently coordinates assignments.  
  • Perform a walking or driven inspection of all properties assigned.  (The type of inspection will be determined by the layout of the community or what has been requested by the Board of Directors/Manager)
  • Takes self-initiative to make suggestions on how to improve or make processes more efficient.
  • Able to maintain a professional, positive attitude when faced with adversity.
  • Delivers, according to deadlines, on time sensitive tasks or properly communicates with supervisor on delays.
  • All inspectors are required to perform inspections each workday.  If no inspections are possible, the inspector must come to the corporate office and assist with other assignments or take PTO.
  • Work time starts when the inspector arrives at their 1st community of the day.  Work time ends when the last inspection has been completed.  Travel time to the 1st community and travel home from the last community is not included in normal business hours.
