Job Summary: This position provides comprehensive administrative assistance and project management support to the project leadership team and contributes to the success of projects objectives and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public administration, community development, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in education, youth development, community programs, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Passion for supporting student success and strengthening opportunities for children and families
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, universities, and community organizations
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines
  • Experience with data collection, program evaluation, and reporting
  • Knowledge of community resources and family support services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Community School strategy at the assigned UCP Charter School site.
  • Facilitate implementation of initiatives aligned with Full-Service Community School pillars, including expanded learning, integrated student supports, family engagement, and collaborative leadership.
  • Work closely with the school principal and leadership team to ensure Community School programming aligns with school improvement priorities and student needs.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of the site-level Community School Continuous Improvement Plan, including needs assessment, asset mapping, goal setting, and strategic planning.
  • Support programs that promote student academic success, improved attendance, school climate, and overall student well-being.
  • Supervise and collaborate with the Expanded Learning Coordinator (UACS-ELC) to implement tutoring, mentoring, enrichment activities, and academic support programs.
  • Coordinate expanded learning opportunities including after-school, enrichment, mentoring, and university-supported programming.
  • Work with school staff and community partners to provide integrated wellness supports, including mental health resources, family support services, and access to community-based services.
  • Ensure programs are inclusive and responsive to the needs of students with and without disabilities, consistent with UCP’s inclusive educational model.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with UCF, local universities, community organizations, and service providers to support Community School programming.
  • Coordinate university engagement opportunities including student internships, service-learning projects, volunteers, and mentoring programs.
  • Build partnerships that support family services, health supports, workforce exposure, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Facilitate collaboration among educators, families, and community partners to strengthen student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies that strengthen family engagement and leadership within the school community.
  • Organize events and activities such as family workshops, parent education programs, community resource fairs, and university engagement opportunities.
  • Serve as a key liaison connecting families with school resources, community services, and university programs.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and documentation related to Community School programming.
  • Track program participation, outcomes, and student impact to support federal grant reporting requirements.
  • Compile and submit data for quarterly and annual reporting to the UCF Center for Community Schools and the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Use program data to support continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate the deployment of grant-funded resources at the school site to support Community School initiatives.
  • Identify and leverage community assets and resources that expand supports available to students and families.
  • Assist with identifying and pursuing additional funding opportunities, partnerships, and in-kind supports that strengthen program sustainability.
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities related to Community Schools implementation, partnership development, and family engagement.
  • Attend required trainings and technical assistance sessions offered by the UCF Center for Community Schools and regional university partners.
  • Engage in Community School networks, conferences, and collaborative learning communities focused on best practices in integrated student supports.
