About The Position

Still in school but ready to launch your career? The Huntington Community Impact Capital (CIC) summer 2026 internship program is perfect for ambitious, impact-driven students looking to gain valuable hands-on experience. This program will build more than just your resumé - it will expose you to the meaningful and complex world of community development finance. We are seeking students who are interested in a potential longer-term position and who plan to remain in St. Louis post-graduation. Note: This position must be on-site in St. Louis, MO (Clayton). Our program is structured to provide students unique experiences in the fields of affordable housing and economic development finance. Through these experiences, you'll build a foundation on which to further your career, your abilities and your dreams. Internships span 10-12 weeks. Why Huntington? Requirements

  • High School graduate
  • Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University
  • At least one semester of college remaining following completion of the internship program in August 2026
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice® applications

Nice To Haves

  • Course(s) of study applicable to the areas of finance, law, public policy or a general interest in the community development sector
  • A strong interest in banking, finance, and/or real estate as a career
