About The Position

The Community Iceplex Scorekeeper under general supervision of the Community Iceplex Hockey Manager performs responsible tasks of Score keeping to support the services and operations of the Community Iceplex Hockey Department. This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until December 31, 2025. About the Venue One Valley Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of our organization's commitment to our community. The Foundation's goal is to have all money raised remain in our Valley, serving all 9 cities. The One Valley Foundation is committed to ensuring an inclusive community for our fans, united through a shared passion for sports. We aim to create greater opportunity and impact across the Coachella Valley through a variety of programs and legacy events focused on our three core pillars of Education, Community and Access to Hockey.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.
Common nights include Sunday-Wednesday/Hours 4:30pm-11:30pm, part-time (approximately 12 hours per week).
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with customers, peers and supervisors.
Ability to follow and adhere to instructions set forth by supervisors, policy and procedures.
Ability to communicate with guests of all ages.
Must accept delegated responsibilities willingly.
Must be able to maintain a positive self-image for Iceplex.

Responsibilities

Effectively operate and understand the use of the Iceplex scoreboard.
Utilize hockey knowledge to track the play for certain clock sequences. Keep an accurate accounting of statistics for league games on an IPad separate from the scoreboard.
Effectively multitasking between both the scoreboard controls and the IPad for statistics.
Operate both penalty box doors for players entering and exiting the box.
Communicate effectively with the referees. Possess basic hockey knowledge.
Be courteous and professional.
Performs all work in compliance with established Iceplex safety standards.
