About The Position

As a Community Housekeeper 2, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep of the leasing office, common areas and curb appeal of your community. With a high level of detail, this associate will ensure all vacant homes are welcoming and move-in ready. This role is also responsible for minor screwdriver maintenance of common areas and apartment homes. A successful Community Housekeeper 2 is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
  • Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 85 pounds
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicable
  • Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
  • Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
  • Follow Weidner's Mission, Vision and Values and comply with all Weidner policies and procedures as well as all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal laws
  • Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently
  • Ability to work outside of normal scheduled hours as needed
  • Willing and able to be assigned to other Weidner properties as needed
  • Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized
  • Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
  • Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation, at all times
  • Driver's license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times and match the country in which associate will work

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; Willing and able to learn new software programs

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily grounds maintenance of the property including picking up and disposing of all trash, pet defecation removal, maintain pet waste stations, and sweeping walkways
  • Assist with trashing out vacant units and doing screwdriver maintenance to include but not limited to: paint, moving appliances, basic unit turns, etc
  • Complete basic service requests as assigned
  • Basic plumbing (cartridges, toilet flapper, clearing drains, etc)
  • Basic electrical (light bulbs, outlet/switch covers, outlets, etc)
  • Basic hardware (replacing locks, door handles, cutting keys, etc)
  • Ensure market ready apartments, common areas and amenities are clean and maintained daily to Weidner's quality standards
