About The Position

A Community Health Worker contributes to AHF by delivering comprehensive prevention and health services that address both medical and educational needs, particularly for communities facing systemic barriers such as LGBTQ+ individuals, Latine communities, youth, and people who use substances. Through their direct work providing care, facilitating testing and treatment, offering education, and linking clients to essential services, they build trust and empower people to take charge of their health. Their compassionate and culturally responsive approach helps reduce disparities and advances AHF’s mission to promote health equity and dignity for all.. A Community Health Worker enhances the reputation of AHF by serving as a trusted and compassionate representative within the community. Through their culturally responsive approach and dedication to meeting people where they are, they build strong relationships and foster trust in AHF’s services.
