About The Position

As a member of the Morongo Basin Healthcare District (MBHD) team your mission is to improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve. All positions with MBHD are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved exemption. In your role as Community Health Worker, you will report to the Community Programs Manager. Your responsibilities will include performing education, outreach on health issues including HIV and Sexually transmitted diseases to high-risk populations and the general community. HIV prevention services include community outreach, risk reduction, community forums and other interventions. HIV prevention services focus on a diverse population, including persons of color, sex workers, injection and non-injection drug users, youth-at-risk, women-at-risk, LGBTQ and other diverse populations.
