About The Position
The Community Health Supervisor works to assure that community health programs are implemented in accordance with established guidelines and requirements. This position uses principles of public health practice, supervision, and staff development to provide primary support and appropriate oversight of public health nurses and/or public health educators. This position implements direct client work and provides supervision of community health staff and nurse visitors. This position helps oversee community health programs which may include but are not limited to maternal child health, immunization, communicable disease, nurse visitation, lead, injury prevention, adult services, and health education. This position participates in public health programs that promote and maintain the health of individuals, families, groups, and the community.
