The position involves assessing and evaluating the health care needs of patients and families, taking into account physiological, psychological, social, and environmental factors. The role requires the development of a care plan based on patient needs, physician orders, nursing assessment parameters, and identified goals, ensuring respect for patient, family, community, and company resources. The care plan must be implemented and revised as necessary through regular assessment, observation, and evaluation of the patient's condition, needs, and response to care. The nurse will initiate and apply appropriate preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing procedures and techniques, administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and perform nursing procedures and techniques. Additionally, the nurse will delegate responsibilities appropriately and supervise ancillary personnel to ensure quality care and compliance with the care plan. Timely, accurate, and relevant documentation is also a critical part of the role.
