  • Assess patient care needs in clinics, homes, schools, and community settings.
  • Plan and evaluate community health programs.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and community members.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing regarding patient care and health programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of experience as a registered nurse, or an associate degree in nursing with four years of clinical experience.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maryland or from a Multi-State Licensure Compact participant state.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, process, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing standards and community health resources.
  • Ability to make long-range plans for community health services.
