The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for directly engaging with the public to represent Girl Scouts as an organization and promote the benefits of being a Girl Scout, with the aim of identifying and attracting new Girl Scout members, adult volunteers, and community partners within an assigned geographic area. The goal of the Community Engagement Specialist is to appeal to a diverse population of Girl Scouts that reflects the population of our community. Additionally, they establish relationships with community partners that could offer unique programming for girls or support Girl Scouts programming financially, seamlessly transitioning those relationships to other departments for ongoing cultivation. The Community Engagement Specialist also prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access to ensure delivery of the best quality Girl Scout leadership experience for girls. In collaboration with the Community Engagement Lead, the Community Engagement Specialist will exercise discretion and judgment with respect to matters of significance. This job is not routine, clerical, or administrative in nature.
