About The Position
Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council is located in the Charlotte, NC area and serving nearly 8,000 girls and adults in eight counties across North and South Carolina. We have one focus, GIRLS! Requirements
- Passionate about girl leadership
- Excellent communication skills with knowledge of how best to reach different audiences and execute communications among multigenerational communities.
- High School Diploma or College Degree preferred
- Self-motivated and efficient with strong time-management skills
- Great written and oral communication skills, including public presentations (virtually and in person)
- Ability to relate well to both adults and children
- Skilled with Microsoft Office, major social media platforms, and various video conferencing software; familiarity with Salesforce, a plus
- Have access to automobile for daily travel
Nice To Haves
- Girl Scout experience is very helpful (but not critical)
- Comfortable and able to converse in Spanish would be useful (but not a must)
Responsibilities
- Organizing and coordinating informational/promotional events, troops and meetings, or presentations for girls and adults through community venues.
- Cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with local schools, parent organizations, businesses, and community organizations to increase visibility, funding options and partnerships.
- Making cold contacts daily and follows up on warm leads. Developing and maintaining resources to support all communities.
