About The Position

Fairstead is seeking an organized and enthusiastic professional to serve as Resident Engagement Coordinator for one of its New York City portfolios. The Resident Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for resident communication strategy and direct relationships with tenant leadership. The role will report to the General Manager.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in community organizing, social services/social work, or other client-facing role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of Yardi/RentCafe or willingness to learn a plus.
• Evening and weekend flexibility required.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish, French, or Haitian Creole a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Property Management, Public Affairs, Development, and Design & Construction on resident communication strategy across the portfolio.
• Manage direct relationships with 12+ tenant leaders.
• Plan and organize resident meetings.
• Present at meetings.
• Draft, design, and manage written communication / notice distribution.
• As needed, liaise with third-party stakeholders.

• Salary Range: $70,000—$80,000 USD.
