About The Position

This position is responsible for clearly presenting our company and services to the Community, partners, members, and other interested parties. This position will require attendance of community meetings, public presentations, coordination of training as well as promotion and marketing collateral.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of community engagement experience.
  • Associate’s degree and three years of community engagement experience.
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and four years of community engagement experience
  • Must be an initiative-taker with an elevated level of initiative; highly meticulous; flexible and adaptable to varied circumstances, environments, and personalities. Requires discretion and sensitivity to confidential matters. Must be able to interact with all levels of internal management and staff, Board members, and external clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to principles of cultural competence.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, community, and business partners.
  • Reliable transportation, Valid AZ driver’s license, automobile insurance, and good driving record.
  • Proof of physical exam and annual proof of TB skin Test.
  • Fingerprint Clearance - If working with children (clients under 18) or work in or on a premises where children’s services are rendered.

Responsibilities

  • Acts based on strategic initiatives of the SEABHS Leadership, including initiating next steps, project management, communication, follow- up, and problem resolution.
  • Disseminates information to the public regarding agency activities. Serves as a point of contact for the agency with local media and stakeholders to enhance community profile.
  • Administers digital marketing and advertising via social media platforms and company website.
  • Manages donor database and generates donor correspondence.
  • Interacts with a wide variety of individuals and organizations, including executive staff, board members, funders and donors, stakeholders, community members, management, and employees.
  • Prepares, proofreads, edits correspondence, including emails, letters, meeting minutes, press releases, marketing materials and newsletters.
  • Maintains accurate files and timely response of all correspondence and administrative documents, meeting, and committee minutes.
  • Professionally communicates both verbally and in writing with staff, public, stakeholders, and members.
  • Researches and prepares reports and updates on several topics/issues including monthly status reports for SEABHS Leadership.
  • Makes meeting and travel arrangements.
  • Participates in committees and meetings as requested.
  • Participates in targeted educational and professional development opportunities to maintain/improve professional expertise.
  • Evaluates, makes recommendations to, and improves processes for organizational effectiveness and enhanced public image
  • Always represents Agency in a professional manner.
  • Outreach to agencies, organizations, partners, and stakeholders to conduct presentations, both in-person and utilizing online platforms.
  • Create Marketing and messaging materials of both written and data elements to include pamphlets, brochures, presentations, newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Work with web-developer to update SEABHS website.
