BCFS Health and Human Services established in 1944 is a non-profit organization with locations and nationally doing noble work across Texas and the United States, specializing in community-based care for at risk families and children (abused and/or neglected & domestic violence), prevention & early intervention services, housing for young adults aging out of the foster care system, mental health & life skill services, advocacy and case management coordination for survivors of human trafficking, medical programs for women who are pregnant or post-partum, and serving families who have a child with a disability or special needs by providing them with an opportunity to visit the world’s first theme park designed with individuals with special needs in mind.

  • Conduct community outreach, educating potential clients, professionals, and others about program and agency services.
  • Complete all required program documentation.
  • Record all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into Salesforce (BCFS) software.
  • Provide referrals to participants based on needs identified while conducting outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate events, meetings and/or training for program participants.
  • Occasionally facilitate and provide classroom training including the core programs (Love Notes, and applicable curricula).
  • Meet with the Program Director on a bi-weekly basis to evaluate the status of outreach/education strategies.
  • Apply working knowledge of parent-child interaction, child development, and dynamics of child abuse/neglect to teach positive parenting and non-violent child management techniques.
  • Record all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into PEIRS (DFPS) and Salesforce (BCFS) software.
  • Maintain confidential client files for assigned participants.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of related direct service experience, customer service experience or public speaking skills.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
  • Associate’s degree substitutes for experience.
  • Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and CPR.
