We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Employment Specialist. HireAbility offers a customized employment program to assist individuals living with an intellectual disability, mental illness, physical disability, or chronic disease by preparing them for employment.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License required
- Associate's degree and 2 years experience preferred
- Hours of work may vary, depending upon participants/job seekers. Hours of work may include evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned caseload to Develop, change and track results of the job seeker's goals.
- Match a job seekers interests and abilities with available jobs. Look for new employers and nurture relationships with existing employers.
- Conduct an assessment of each job seeker. Focus on total life experiences, not just work history, and interest.
- Support job seeker in obtaining an interview for identified jobs. Attend interview if needed.
- Support participants currently employed to increase skills, abilities, hours, duties, authority as desired by participant.
