About The Position

In this role, you will take on a high-impact position assisting with the planning and execution of employee engagement and fundraising events, programs and projects. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting Ace's corporate employees and contributing to the success of our award-winning Ace Foundation Team. This opportunity provides exposure to our Ace store owners, CMN Hospital teams, internal Ace teams, event planning, communications, and relationship management-all while making a meaningful impact to the culture that makes Ace so special.

Requirements

  • Working toward a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Entering Senior year of college, Dec 2026 or May 2027 graduation date
  • Demonstrated interest or involvement in philanthropic activities
  • Strong adaptability and ability to learn quickly in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Motivation, initiative, and ability to contribute as an effective team member
  • Self-leadership and drive to accomplish tasks with excellence
  • Motivation and initiative to succeed
  • Local travel (ability to attend events, required a couple times throughout the internship)
  • Ability to lift, bend, and/or carry items over 10 pounds
  • Willingness and ability to give presentations to colleagues, managers and directors
  • Knowledge and interest in Ace Hardware Corporation
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday -Friday for 12 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and executing multiple large-scale events, celebrations, fundraising programs and volunteer opportunities
  • Coordinate event logistics working with internal teams, retailers, vendors and volunteer partners
  • Draft and edit communications (internal and external) promoting and recapping events and programs
  • Discover and recommend new ways to streamline and improve team processes
