About The Position

The Community Education Director is responsible for executing high-quality community education training and ongoing support to Senior Life Solution programs. This position necessitates a combination of strategic referral development and delivery of educational content, requiring an understanding of healthcare industry regulations and a data-driven approach to reach target markets effectively. Additionally, the CED is tasked with training teams to enhance community engagement by fostering partnerships with host hospital, community organizations, government agencies, and healthcare providers. This involves organizing events, forums, and outreach efforts to collaborate, gather input and build meaningful connections.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in, education, marketing, communications, public relations, business administration or a combination of education and experience.
  • Health care and mental health experience preferred.
  • Train, lead, and support teams responsible for program growth
  • Ability to support teams and foster collaboration across departments.
  • Work with internal departments, C-suite executives, and external partners to ensure marketing and educational efforts support overall company objectives.
  • Ability to develop long-term visions and strategic planning for program growth.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and market trends to identify opportunities and measure success.
  • Lead teams responsible for executing Community Education Plans
  • Create comprehensive education plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Experience in coordinating education or community outreach programs required.
  • Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills, highly organized, critical thinker, and resourceful problem solver.
  • Monitor referral development performance, analyze data to understand what's working, and make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor the goals set by the program.
  • Train teams on how to create a meaningful referral source network following the collaborative approach.
  • Train teams on public speaking, tactical advocacy messaging and how to motivate a target audience.
  • Train program teams on how to be a community member advocate.
  • Train teams on how to cultivate relationship with host hospital.
  • Train teams on how collaborate with Community Education team to develop, implement and manage Community Education tasks.
  • Identify needs and interest of the community and referral sources and give the program team the tools to assist.
  • Stay informed in the field of senior health.
  • Train teams on the Referral Process Guidelines
  • Implement CE plans, tracks, and monitors.
  • Offer training on hospital integration and the Collaborative Model
  • Participate in the development of a strategic plan in support of the programs.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities as requested to support community education.
  • Train on how to provide mental health education for community groups as needed.
  • Provide program staff with ideas and plans for community outreach curriculum.
  • Provide programs with education on health-related topics.
  • Provide education to community groups as requested by the Regional Director.
  • Identify needs and interests in the areas of mental health.
