About The Position

As the Community Donation Manager, you will be accountable for the overall management and direction of the processes associated with the day-to-day functions of the Community Donation Center to make Savers the donation center of choice. You will uphold company standards, regulations, and laws throughout all donor areas of the store, ensuring fast, friendly, and respectful service at the point of donation. Your role will involve promoting brand awareness in the community and developing relationships with local organizations to partner with Savers. You will manage a team of Community Donation Center Ambassadors and be guided by the Savers Vision and Core Values.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to reason, make decisions, and use independent judgment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • High School diploma; post-Secondary degree/diploma preferred.
  • Experience managing people preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Community Donation Center (CDC) is organized, clean, safe, and welcoming.
  • Manage donation flow from the CDC into the production room.
  • Engage with customers and donors to promote Savers' brand.
  • Ensure donations are accurately weighed and accounted for.
  • Plan, track, and measure donation goals and results.
  • Schedule CDC Ambassadors appropriately based on expected volume and donor traffic.
  • Utilize branded sign packages and company-approved materials to promote the Savers brand.
  • Leverage the Voice of the Customer Program to improve donor satisfaction.
  • Perform duties of the CDC Ambassador as required.
  • Lead, direct, and supervise the work of CDC Ambassadors.
  • Recruit, select, and train new CDC Ambassadors.
  • Provide recognition and feedback to CDC Ambassadors.
  • Develop a culture of appreciation for donors and donations.
  • Identify and develop high potential team members for supervisory positions.
  • Deliver a positive donor experience by training and coaching CDC Ambassadors.
  • Engage with donors to gather feedback and improve the donor experience.
  • Promote awareness of the non-profit partner and community impact.
  • Drive company promotions and grassroots efforts to create community awareness.
  • Network within the community to share the Savers story.
