Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil Engineering), Planning, or Real Estate/Business, with a solid foundation in land development principles.
  • 3-5 years of progressive project management experience supporting residential development and/or consulting engineering projects.
  • Skilled in forward planning, including anticipating project needs, managing schedules, and coordinating consultants, contractors, municipalities, and internal teams.
  • Strong financial management capabilities, including monitoring project budgets, forecasting, and maintaining accurate financial positions.
  • Support strategic execution by helping shape development strategies and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder approval processes.
  • Communicate professionally through clear financial, technical, and timeline reporting, ensuring transparency for internal teams and builder partners.
  • Adept at early issue detection, identifying risks, and collaborating with builders and consultants to implement timely resolutions.
  • Demonstrated relationship‑building skills, balancing diverse stakeholder interests (clients, municipal staff, partners, suppliers) while upholding organizational reputation.
  • Team‑oriented contributor with a consistent positive attitude; committed to mentoring, teaching, and supporting colleagues to strengthen overall team performance.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to apply technical tools to drive informed project decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with modular construction is a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of provincial planning policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Land Tribunal process, including documentation and hearing preparation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with strengths in written reports, presentations, and proposal development.

Responsibilities

  • Project scheduling, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and related financial reporting.
  • Champion the project’s vision and design while fostering strong community engagement.
  • Manage and oversee municipal approval processes, including secondary and tertiary plans, block plans, draft plans, zoning, site plans, subdivision registration, etc.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with multi‑disciplinary consultant teams.
  • Manage high‑level environmental and infrastructure studies such as Subwatershed Studies and Master Environmental Servicing Plans.
  • Direct the full engineering approval process across civil, landscape, and utility disciplines.
  • Assess project activities for their impact on overall customer satisfaction.
  • Provide conceptual layout development and due‑diligence support.
  • Contribute to product development, translating concepts into land planning and land‑use strategies.
  • Support sales and relationship management efforts by building strong partnerships with community stakeholders, clients, and prospective development partners to advance project goals.
  • Maintain strong industry and market awareness to inform decision‑making.
  • Explore and evaluate sustainable community design alternatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
