This position is primarily 2nd shift with potential 3rd shift and weekend work is required. The applicant must have a strong understanding of ethics and boundaries; the ability to communicate and be able to work in a team setting; have excellent writing/strong computer skills, time management, and observation/organizational skills and be detail oriented. Understanding of victim awareness; knowledge of domestic violence and sexual offenders; ability to communicate effectively to a team the dynamics observed during field contacts; ability to maintain a professional rapport with local law-enforcement agencies and community partners. Duties include working closely with local police departments in arrest situations or in the performance of field supervision check. High stress situations are predictable, even frequent. The potential of physical assault or injury is present. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. Overtime and emergency duty are predictable. Shift assignments may change in accordance with the needs of the office, including any of three shifts and weekend assignments as well potentially working within a correctional facility.
