About The Position

The DD Clinical Team is made up of services designed to create in-home and community-based services to support adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder, in combination with mental health challenges. The goal of the clinical program is to maintain individual stability and effective functionality for people served in their homes, group homes, and out in the community by providing clinical services such as coaching supports, group therapy, and individual therapy using therapeutic skill-building interventions such as DBT-informed Skills System treatment model. In this role, the Clinician will provide mobile clinical case management support to individuals in the Central West area of Massachusetts- including Worcester County, North Central Area and the South Valley area. They will coordinate with other members of the treatment team, including family members, DDS, day programs, personal providers, and allied health providers, including the VNA.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Services field with independent licensure and previous experience with assessment and treatment planning for adults with IDD and ASD in combination with mental health challenges, required.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record, required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, ASD, and mental health challenges, and knowledge of PBS, required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training for the teams as needed to include IDD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, evidenced based and promising practices to include Trauma Informed Care and Positive Behavioral Supports.
  • Complete all required clinical assessments within 30 days of each individual's admission to ensure timely and focused treatment planning. Conduct functional behavioral assessments.
  • Establish engagement with individuals served employing Motivational Interviewing/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills.
  • Participate in treatment planning in order to develop appropriate, effective and achievable treatment goals and objectives.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver skill and therapeutic groups including PEERS Friendship and Dating, and the DBT informed Skills System.
