About The Position

The Community Center Director is responsible for overseeing a variety of recreational programs and services that cater to the diverse needs of the community. This role involves managing volunteers and part-time staff, ensuring the safety and security of participants, and developing programs that engage children, teens, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. The director will also be involved in community outreach and program planning to enhance recreational offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or related field, or equivalent experience in recreation programming.
• Knowledge of basic methods of instruction and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to administer first aid and CPR.
• Experience in program development and supervision.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Background in financial management related to recreation services.
