The Riverside Innovation Hub (RIH) and the Sabo Center for Citizenship and Democracy (Sabo), in collaboration with the Brian Coyle Center, are seeking to hire two students for the 2026 spring academic year. This position is scheduled to work 10 and 20 hours a week respectively. This collaboration aims to support the Brian Coyle Center’s basic needs programs – primarily the food shelf – and other programs as needed (youth programs and public health). The Sabo is Augsburg University’s center for community engagement. Sabo connects Augsburg’s campus with community members and organizations to build meaningful learning opportunities that support the everyday work of building and sustaining communities. RIH invites Christian congregations to imagine their own thriving as intimately tied to the thriving of their local community. RIH orients people’s curiosity and sense of call to be rooted in God’s vision of flourishing for all, understood through the specific realities of the local community and in relationship with local neighbors. The Brian Coyle Center is among the city’s busiest social service centers with a continuum of programs designed around the neighborhood’s rapidly changing immigrant communities. Brian Coyle is a part of Pillsbury United Communities, an organization of community builders co-creating enduring change toward a just society by imagining thriving communities where every person has personal, social, and economic power.
