BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB The position will assist in administration efforts as well as having working knowledge of all community benefits programs including Project ADAM, Safe Kids Worldwide, Breathe Easy. REPORTS TO Community Benefit Manager JOB REQUIREMENTS Supervisory Responsibilities: NO Number of Direct Reports: Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED Degree: General License/Certification Required: CPR Instructor, Safe Sitter Instructor, Child Passenger Tech Minimum Work Experience: 2 years REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Must be able to have good communication skills and positive attitude when discussing topics for education to the public. Will work closely with the Community Benefit Manager for resources and communication needed for events. Preferred but not required, grant reporting experience. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects efficiently. Strong organization skills required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to work Microsoft Office and other community benefit software used by ETCH. Provide hands-on training to community of trainees. Excellent communication skills both within the organization and in community. Represent East Tennessee Children’s Hospital with the upmost respect as this is a public facing role. Be able to transport training materials for events. Be able to work with the Community Benefit Manager but also work independently for events/classes if needed. Must be able to teach CPR courses as needed by Community Benefit Manager. Be able to communicate with school educators as needed specifically in logistics for CPR classes. If teaching a certification course, must be able to manage trainees during training courses and ensure they are attentive. Utilizes hospital resources and time respectfully and accountably. Other community benefit duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Moderate lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required.
