At National Youth Advocate Program, community-based therapists are central to their mission, working directly in communities to bring hope and healing to youth and families in need. As part of an integral service team, these therapists deliver life-changing Mental and Health services to youth and their families who are referred by various entities such as schools, healthcare providers, Family and Children First councils, and county courts. Under the general supervision of a Clinical Supervisor, the therapist helps youth and families overcome challenges, with the ultimate goal of enabling them to live safely and successfully in their community. At NYAP, the role extends beyond therapy to include guidance and advocacy.
