About The Position

School Based Therapist and Telehealth therapist; Contract SC - Spartanburg School-Based Therapists with National Youth Advocate Program will provide mental and behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, facilitate individual and/or group counseling to students and provide case management services to students in the program. When school is not in session during extended breaks and summer months, you will maintain your caseload and continue to provide services to your students by meeting with them in the community. There will be an element of office based therapy involved in this role. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, you will work closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing counseling or therapy, advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
  • LSW or LPCA required; LISW LPC preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
  • You have good computer and technology skills
  • Must be willing to accept other job duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in providing both individual and family therapy preferred
  • Experience working in direct service with youth and families preferred.
  • Experience with TF-CBT preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides appropriate individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management and other professional services.
  • Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
  • Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
  • Required to travel daily during summers and extended breaks to provide community-based services to youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with parents (families of origin and/or foster families), teachers, administrators and other school staff.
  • Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served.
