About The Position

ACP is hiring a Community-Based Mental Health Therapist to serve youth ages 6-18 and adults in the Twin Cities metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians pursuing licensure (LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to gain relational hours while working in a supportive, diverse, and dynamic environment. Why Join ACP? Requirements

  • Education: Master’s or graduate degree in psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related fields from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure Track: On path to becoming a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Availability: Ability to work late afternoons and early evenings to meet clients in home or community settings.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, mental stability, and ethical conduct.
  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and willingness to travel within the Twin Cities metro.

Responsibilities

  • Complete diagnostic assessments and develop custom treatment plans focused on individual and family goals.
  • Build therapeutic relationships to support recovery and rehabilitative goals.
  • Collaborate with community partners, including case managers, medical personnel, and school staff.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services.
