Community Associate/Front Desk Reception - Monday-Friday 11:30am-8:00pm

The Community Associate provides general reception and clerical support for the Health Services Department. The incumbent interacts with residents, family members and outside medical providers.

Responsibilities
- Responds to residents' questions, concerns and needs in a pleasant and warm fashion.
- Politely greets visitors and assists them with their questions and requests.
- Provides clerical tasks to include word processing support.
- Answers phones appropriately and routes calls to appropriate party or takes accurate messages.
- Monitors pull cord and fire alarm panels.
- Uses radio to respond to pull cord alarms, smoke alarms and call lights.
- Processes resident mail and newspaper delivery.
- Assists in managing staffing.
- Assists Health Records Manager as needed.
- Updates master forms book and maintains complete and current availability of necessary forms.
- Completes various audits.
- Schedules appointments and arranges transportation for residents.
- Files current, thinned, and discharged residents' paperwork in charts.
- Provides support to track educational and health records for Emerald Heights staff.
- Central Supply Unpacking and Supply Ordering support
