About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Communication Project Manager Associate to manage the delivery of voice and data communications projects under BNATCS. This role ensures that communication systems are implemented effectively, meeting FAA requirements for reliability, performance, and security. This position is hybrid and based on customer needs, the successful candidate should expect frequent, and at times short-notice, on-site requirements at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC. For this reason, only those located within a 100-mile radius of FAA Headquarters will be considered. T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs, and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience preferably in communications systems or infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of voice and data communications technologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.
  • PMP or PgMP certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FAA communications systems (Voice Switches, Data Link, or related).
  • Projects supporting national airspace or other mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of communications systems, including installation and integration.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for system deployment and testing.
  • Serve as the primary FAA interface on communications readiness and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA safety, security, and performance requirements.
  • Monitor progress, resolve challenges, and provide status reporting to leadership.
