About The Position

The Communication Specialist is responsible for providing telephone assistance to team members, patients, physicians, and the general public in a timely and professional manner. This role involves managing physician call schedules and various administrative lists, as well as responding to emergent calls efficiently according to established protocols.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year clerical work experience preferred.
• Experience in telephone or switchboard operations preferred.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare-related phone system operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone assistance to team members, patients, physicians, and the general public.
• Manage physician call schedules and administrative call lists.
• Respond to emergent calls quickly and efficiently, following outlined protocols.
• Maintain out of hospital personnel lists and miscellaneous contact lists.
