About The Position

The Communications Specialist will collaborate across various functions and teams at Magna Powertrain to support and execute a global communications strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives. This role focuses on corporate communications, employee communications, and internal events, ensuring effective communication within the company and with its employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in internal or corporate communications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to write concise, captivating messaging for various audiences.
• Ability to support global projects and work harmoniously in a multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong familiarity with MS Office programs and SharePoint is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Member of the MPT Marketing & Communications team, largely focused on corporate communications, employee communications and internal events.
• Support the execution of the communications strategy, including maintaining internal communication channels.
• Collect, support and create content, focusing on corporate and employee topics and inclusive of interviewing subject matter experts.
• Support proofreading and translation process for content, including coordinating agency support and internal reviews as required.
• Support internal communication events, including webcasts, conferences and workshops.
• Build relationships across divisions and functions to foster open communication.
• Provide support on communication campaigns as needed.
• Coordinate projects and project teams and report on metrics in cooperation with the team.
• Other duties as required.
