About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service (MES) has an opening for a Communications Specialist located at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. This position is responsible for assisting with activities aimed at building and maintaining a positive public image for MES and supporting the creation of effective internal and external communications aligning with the agency mission, vision, and goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Minimum of one year of experience working in the communications field (can include internships)
• Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities aimed at building and maintaining a positive public image for MES
• Supporting the creation of effective internal and external communications aligning with the agency mission, vision, and goals
