About The Position

Reporting to the Brand Communications Manager, you will support the development and execution of external communications that strengthen brand reputation and drive positive media coverage. You will focus on proactive media relations, storytelling, and earned media across traditional and digital channels, supporting both consumer and trade audiences. You will partner closely with marketing, brand, and communications teams to support dozens of Conagra Brands through product launches, seasonal initiatives, trends, and special events. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Support and execute external communications strategies aligned with business and brand priorities Develop and pitch compelling, consumer‑focused stories to national, regional, and trade media Build and maintain relationships with reporters, editors, influencers, and brand advocates Draft press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, questions and answers, and other external‑facing materials Coordinate media outreach for product launches, campaigns, and announcements Monitor media coverage, track performance metrics, and prepare coverage reports and insights Support media inquiries, interview preparation, and spokesperson briefings Partner with brand teams to understand business objectives and identify earned media opportunities Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, brand, and communications partners Support agency partners by sharing product information, coordinating product shipments, and reviewing inbound pitch strategies Represent Conagra Brands at select trade shows and events as a media relations contact Build relationships with influencers, brand advocates, and consumers through social platforms, including support of brand ambassador programs Create social media content as needed using internal studio and production resources Stay current on media trends, consumer news cycles, emerging platforms, and competitor activity Leverage artificial intelligence and emerging platforms to enhance media relations efforts, including media list development and press materials Ingredients Required for Your Success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in corporate communications or public relations
  • Experience supporting media relations for consumer products or brands
  • Strong writing skills with experience developing consumer‑facing materials
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience influencing internal and external partners
  • Confident communication across all levels of the organization
  • Sound judgement, decisiveness, and a broad‑minded perspective
  • Strong presentation skills and professional presence
  • Experience leading short‑ and long‑term projects with varying levels of complexity
  • Experience balancing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools for media relations work, including ChatGPT and Copilot

  • Experience within consumer packaged goods or the food industry preferred
