As part of the UW Department of Radiology’s communications team, the communications specialist will join the communications manager, another communications specialist and a web operations manager in driving the proactive creation of compelling content targeting a wide variety of external and internal audiences. Primary responsibilities include writing articles that translate the complex scientific and clinical work into effective narratives; developing monthly newsletters and slides for internal communications; working with subject matter experts on effective web content; contributing to web strategy and editorial planning; and maintaining a social media presence. A successful candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented, and creative professional who can collaborate with a range of stakeholders while also independently managing multiple, concurrent projects. We seek someone who has enthusiasm for learning about radiology and dedication to growing as a communications professional. This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
