About The Position

As Gecko's Communications Strategist, Internal, you will play a pivotal role in translating the company's mission, product, strategy, and culture into engaging internal communications. This position involves managing a variety of projects that contribute to the overall success of the business, fostering employee engagement, and enhancing transparency within the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in internal or brand communications, preferably in a technical or startup environment.
• Creative storyteller with a keen eye for design.
• Proven ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them for different audiences.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different contexts.
• Highly autonomous with the ability to manage projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of building relationships across the organization.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing needs while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work flexible hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office tools, and Slack.
• Design experience with platforms such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive internal communications programs to ensure cross-functional clarity and alignment with company strategy.
• Produce high-quality written, visual, and digital media content for various internal platforms, including company-wide events and all-hands meetings.
• Drive employee engagement and foster company culture through strategic communication initiatives.
• Collaborate with leaders across the company to develop and refine communications strategies and messaging.
• Monitor employee sentiment and proactively identify and address communication gaps.
• Implement and refine internal communication tools and processes for seamless communication across the organization.
• Serve as the primary owner of Gecko's intranet, transforming it into a key business resource.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives using data and employee feedback.
