Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Seven years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning for various media venues and technical aspects of communications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Proficiency in graphic design, website management, and social media platforms.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive long and short-term strategic communications plans.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with videography and photography.
  • Knowledge of current affairs and issues in higher education and health sciences.
  • Familiarity with equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide marketing and communication leadership to the SHW Cluster.
  • Support the advancement of SHW's communications strategy, focusing on internal and external communications, marketing, and public relations.
  • Implement a comprehensive communications program for SHW, including written, visual, digital, and electronic communications.
  • Manage the SHW website and intranet site, ensuring content is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Draft talking points and statements for the SHW Executive Committee.
  • Write feature stories for campus electronic news and edit content for various publications.
  • Collaborate with campus communications teams and external stakeholders to enhance communication efforts.
  • Develop and execute organizational communication and market branding strategies.
