About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in producing communications for various channels and audiences.
  • Demonstrated capability of leading communications initiatives from beginning to end.
  • Experience in the energy or manufacturing industry is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with social media program management best practices.
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and internal digital communications platforms.
  • Familiarity with Associated Press style.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and manage communications content including articles, videos, presentations, social media posts, emails, and newsletters.
  • Understand and apply communication research techniques and stakeholder insights to enhance future communications.
  • Collaborate with other Communications & Community Relations team members to ensure consistency and cohesion in messaging.
  • Conduct media and social media monitoring and reporting; support media relations efforts and participate in crisis preparedness activities.
  • Effectively convey MPC's story to internal and external stakeholders in service of key business objectives.
  • Provide strategic counsel on digital communications and maintain the quality of key company communication materials.
  • Utilize data and feedback for continuous improvement and to explore new communications strategies.
  • Create audience-appropriate materials for complex issues, including sustainability and crisis management.
  • Develop and implement multi-channel communication plans and track communication metrics for effectiveness.
  • Implement communications strategies that support an inclusive company culture.
  • Guide and support team members, contributing to the team's collective skills and expertise.
