About The Position

The South Florida Regional Planning Council is seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media, Communications, and Community Relations Coordinator. This role is responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies across various platforms, managing the agency's website, and promoting community outreach events. The coordinator will work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent brand representation and engaging online presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, News Media, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum of two to three years of professional experience in web development, social media, or related fields.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365 and Adobe products.
  • Experience with WordPress and Constant Contact.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to translate and prepare documents into Spanish.
  • Knowledge of the economic, social, and political factors influencing community and regional planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategy across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Manage and maintain the SFRPC's website and ensure it is engaging and informative.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content that informs community members about regional issues.
  • Monitor and report on social media feedback and online reviews.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director and marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Develop and disseminate the SFRPC's Annual Report, newsletters, and multimedia products.
  • Manage the SFRPC calendar of events on the website and social media outlets.
  • Prepare press releases and materials for websites, newsletters, and other publications.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials and the public.
  • Assist Council staff in projects directed by the Executive Director.
