The position involves answering telephones and greeting all callers in a professional manner. The individual will be responsible for facilitating referrals to area physicians, hospitals, and community services. They will listen to requests from patients or customers and accurately dispatch requests and information to the appropriate persons. The role includes accurately communicating and dispatching Emergency Codes utilizing the Aionex Focus system, and promptly initiating offline procedures when indicated. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment, activity logs, and checklists, answering multiple incoming telephone lines to the hospital switchboard, obtaining necessary information, and transferring calls to the correct department or patient room extension. Additionally, the individual will provide information to callers as appropriate.
