Brief Description of Job: With general supervision, utilizes communications knowledge to provide general support and guidance in all areas of communications for assigned business units/operating companies. Balance internal, external and strategic interests to meet the objectives of the company and the business units/operating companies. Communicates, administers, and implements communications related programs, policies, and procedures. Exhibits proficiency in the broad range of Communications activities.

This posting represents multiple positions that offer a range of opportunities for advancement. The minimum qualifications outlined below apply to the Communications Rep Associate, with increased requirements for the Communications Rep level.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, communications, public relations, or related degree.
• Physical demand level is Sedentary
• Strong written and oral communications and relationship-building skills.
• Strong writing and editing skills, creative design skills, and social media competency, as well as presenting their work to others.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team, quickly and creatively under tight deadlines.
• Ability to contribute to work and projects and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Ability to collaborate and manage small projects successfully with attention to time, budget, and resources.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in digital communications, including social media engagement, preferred.
• Internship experience in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of communications support, including internal communications and media relations, to assigned business unit/operating company.
• Monitor operating company social media conversations, including those on Facebook and Twitter, and coordinate engagement/response to those conversations with members of the Communication team.
• Gather media data, including social media posts, news postings, and industry articles, to provide operating company leadership and employees feedback on customer and industry conversations and issues.
• Provide support to corporate branding through familiarity and support of corporate identity standards in printed and electronic communications.
