About The Position

Responsible for communications into and within the hospital by use of the telephone switchboard, pagers, and public address systems. Primary focus of the job is to respond quickly and courteously to all incoming calls and to route these calls to the proper extension and properly respond to and follow procedures for emergency codes. Mission Hospital McDowell , a member of Mission Health, an operating division of HCA Healthcare, is a community hospital serving McDowell, Burke and Rutherford counties. Located in Marion, North Carolina, Mission Hospital McDowell operates 30 beds, including 5 labor and delivery suites. Medical specialties offered include family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, and walk-in, non-emergency care at Mission My Care Now McDowell. Requirements

High School Diploma
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and successfully completes Windows Competency testing.

Associates Degree
Experience in customer service role and experience with the use of various telecommunication devices
