About The Position

Working at the World Bank Group (WBG) provides a unique opportunity for you to help our clients solve their greatest development challenges. The World Bank Group is one of the largest sources of funding and knowledge for developing countries; a unique global partnership of five institutions dedicated to ending extreme poverty, increasing shared prosperity and promoting sustainable development. With 189 member countries and more than 120 offices worldwide, we work with public and private sector partners, investing in groundbreaking projects and using data, research, and technology to develop solutions to the most urgent global challenges. Please visit www.worldbank.org. The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) is a member of the WBG and home to the WBG Guarantee Platform. Our mission is to promote investment in developing countries to help end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity through political risk insurance, credit enhancement, and trade finance guarantees against non-commercial risks. As one of the two private sector arms of the WBG, MIGA works closely with the International Finance Corporation (IFC)—the world’s largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets—to mobilize private capital at scale, create jobs, and expand our guarantee business to $20 billion by 2030. For more information, visit www.miga.org and www.ifc.org. The integrated IFC and MIGA communications team manages all aspects of internal and external communications for IFC and MIGA, seeking to: • Promote a greater awareness of and support for the World Bank Group among all stakeholders. • Communicate development impact. • Provide marketing and communications support to business operations. • Safeguard the institution’s external image and reputation. MIGA's communications focus on highlighting the WBG Guarantee Platform’s added value among investors (e.g., better financial terms and conditions, innovative products and deals); disseminating information on the Agency's development impact; cultivating contacts with stakeholders; and coordinating with IFC and World Bank counterparts.
