About The Position

The Communications Network Engineer MID position is based in Norfolk, VA, requiring 4+ years of experience. The role involves evaluating communication hardware and software, troubleshooting Local Area Networks (LAN), Base Area Networks (BAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN), as well as administering these networks. The engineer will be responsible for scheduling conversions and cutovers, coordinating with all responsible users and sites, and ensuring the performance and configuration of networks. The position requires specialized experience in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Active Secret clearance.
• IAT Level II certification.
• Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication hardware and software.
