About The Position

The Communications & Member Services Manager at Coral Ridge Yacht Club is responsible for overseeing the Front Desk department, marketing club events, producing the club's newsletter, and maintaining the club's website and communication channels. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Liberal Arts, or Graphic Design preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of website content management experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience required.
  • Proficiency in English grammar and skills in news-style writing, proofreading, and editing required.
  • Familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style and the Associated Press Stylebook required.
  • Experience with computer graphics software, including Canva, In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Vimeo preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database programs preferred.
  • Ability to create a positive teamwork environment required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a customer service mindset required.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures required.
  • Ability to work a varying schedule based on the Club's needs required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NorthStar software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer graphics software for at least one year.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Club website and social media outlets daily.
  • Develop and coordinate the Club's publicity efforts, focusing on brand recognition.
  • Coordinate with writers and editors for the Club's newsletter.
  • Write, compose, or edit all Club magazine and newsletter articles.
  • Proofread contents for corrections and changes; responsible for design and layout.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Membership/Marketing to write engaging articles.
  • Recommend departmental budget needs and ensure budget goals are met.
  • Establish and create print materials for the Club, including menus and signage.
  • Supervise the development of the Club's communications program.
  • Oversee all direct mailings, including composition and design.
  • Capture photos and video content at selected events and file appropriately.
  • Create promotional materials for displays and mailings.
  • Work with department heads to determine content needs.
  • Maintain and promote the Club's website content for Members and staff.
  • Update the calendar of events and manage e-mail blasts to Members.
  • Distribute and tally member surveys.
  • Develop e-mail promotions with guidance from management.
  • Use social media and other platforms to communicate special events to Members.
  • Videography and editing of all Club videos using Vimeo.
  • Assist Food & Beverage Department with event planning and billing.
  • Provide administrative support to the Membership Services office.
  • Assist with Yacht Shop purchasing and inventory management.
  • Manage Annual Meeting Mailer and other voting mailings.
  • Distribute parking decals and membership cards annually.
  • Stay updated on trends and technology for effective communication.
  • Assist new employees with onboarding information.
  • Develop and implement SOP for Front Desk operations.
  • Maintain a smooth-running front desk department.
  • Assist Membership Director with tours and Member requests.
  • Provide quality service to all members and staff.
