About The Position

Airbnb’s Communications team is focused on shaping global perception and driving positive conversation at scale. As the team continues to grow, we are investing in stronger measurement, standardization, and insight generation across a global organization. This role sits within the Strategy, Operations, and Measurement function and reports to the Communications Measurement Lead. It is a hands-on analyst role responsible for day-to-day measurement, reporting, and insight generation across global communications efforts. You will help standardize how performance is measured across a 200+ person comms org while translating data into clear, actionable insights.

Requirements

  • 5–6 years in communications, PR analytics, social listening, or media measurement
  • Experience measuring both media coverage and social conversation
  • Strong experience with tools like Meltwater, Talkwalker, Brandwatch, etc.
  • Advanced Boolean query building
  • Strong storytelling and insight generation (turning data into clear narratives)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Self-starter who can own execution and get into the details
  • Strong critical thinker with attention to data quality
  • Collaborative and adaptable across teams and time zones

Responsibilities

  • Measure PR/comms performance across media, social, and influencer channels
  • Build and refine Boolean queries to track coverage, sentiment, and key message pull-through
  • Analyze results and clearly articulate business impact (not just report outputs)
  • Deliver recurring reports (monthly/quarterly) on media performance and sentiment drivers
  • Create clear, insight-driven decks for leadership and stakeholders
  • Conduct deeper analyses on brand trends and global conversation themes
  • Support global campaigns with consistent measurement frameworks
  • Own day-to-day measurement workflows, dashboards, and ad hoc requests
  • Help standardize reporting and measurement practices across teams and agencies
  • Act as the “voice of measurement” for the comms organization
  • Partner closely with the Measurement Lead to execute strategy
  • Align with Marketing on shared measurement frameworks
  • Support comms teams with guidance on campaign tracking and performance
