About The Position

The Communications Manager for RBC Capital Markets in the U.S. will support internal and external communications for Global Markets, AI & Digital Innovation, RBC Clear and Functions. They will help elevate RBC’s U.S. reputation through strategic storytelling, proactive engagement and close collaboration with senior leaders to align messaging and support key initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in a PR firm, financial services firm or professional services firm.
  • A demonstrated passion for telling compelling brand stories through organic communications both internally and externally.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven media relations experience with top-tier publications and ability to identify emerging media targets (e.g., podcasts).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve, manage tight deadlines and rapidly evolving priorities.
  • Operate as a proactive self-starter and collaborative team member.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic internal and external communications plans for U.S. Global Markets, RBC Clear and AI & Digital Innovation, serving as a strategic media advisor to leadership and aligning tactics with business goals.
  • Secure thought leadership media opportunities in top-tier print and broadcast outlets, working with spokespeople across U.S. Global Markets, AI & Digital Innovation and RBC Clear.
  • Generate and publish original content on RBC Capital Markets’ intranet to highlight employee stories, key business developments and innovative technology solutions across the firm.
  • Write, edit and distribute internal announcements around leadership changes, organizational updates, media appearances and more.
  • Help manage employee communications from key business Functions including Compliance, Human Resources and the Citizenship group.
  • Partner with Marketing to support firm-wide events, including Town Halls, Race for the Kids, Charity Day and Culture Impact Day.
  • Lead the communications strategy around RBC Capital Markets’ inclusion initiatives in the U.S., including collaboration with Employee Resource Groups and the Diversity Leadership Council.
  • Support the achievement of the Brand, Communications and Citizenship group’s overall goals.

  • The expected salary range for this particular position is $85,000-145,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
