As a Communication Manager-Vice President on the Global Technology Communications team, you’ll be at the cutting edge—translating breakthrough tech into compelling stories that shape the future of one of the world’s largest financial institutions. You’ll set the editorial agenda, drive real-time storytelling and amplify the voices of 65,000+ technologists across 20+ global tech hubs. Your mission as managing editor: demystify the latest in AI, cloud, cybersecurity and more, connecting innovation to business impact and customer experience for both technical and non-technical audiences. You will thrive in a collaborative, high-energy environment—bring positivity, creativity and a sense of fun to their work, and you should value building strong, respectful relationships across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a communicator in a high-impact writing role in technology or financial services.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills—able to turn complex tech into crisp, engaging narratives.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-velocity environment.
  • Experience with visual communications, including graphics and video.
  • Strong skills in intranet design, management and content development.
  • A data-driven mindset—comfortable leveraging metrics and analytics to measure success and drive strategy.
  • Outstanding collaboration, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent editorial judgment, adaptability and creative problem-solving under pressure.
  • Masterful multi-tasking and time management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in BigTech, Fintech or as a journalist covering the tech industry.
  • Design, production or multimedia expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Photoshop; bonus for HTML or other digital skills.
  • A sense of humor and a passion for working with others to achieve great results.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the editorial strategy for Global Technology, ensuring it’s always aligned with the firm’s boldest tech ambitions and business priorities.
  • Run the end-to-end editorial process at startup speed—from idea to launch—prioritizing what matters most, governing quality and hitting deadlines.
  • Source, report and craft high-impact narratives that fuel our tech culture and connect strategy to outcomes, partnering closely with GT Communications partners across the firm.
  • Maintain a dynamic editorial calendar and lead a biweekly editorial huddle with tech comms pros from every line of business.
  • Plan, create, edit and publish daily content across all GT channels—web, mobile, email, digital signage—delivering a seamless, high-quality experience.
  • Shape and polish news stories, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and impact.
  • Advise and empower Tech Center Communicators to maximize the reach and resonance of global editorial across local channels.
  • Create must-read technology thought leadership for firmwide channels, including the company intranet and flagship publications, making complex topics accessible and engaging.
  • Become a power user of our content management system, producing visually compelling layouts and integrating multimedia elements.
  • Partner with the Corporate Communications Multimedia Director to bring stories to life with photos, graphics, charts and data visualizations.
  • Harness audience analytics to track reach, engagement, and comprehension—using insights to continuously optimize content strategy.
